Gone in 60 seconds............quite like this film personally even if it is American

ITV2 for any who are interested.

Not sure which of the cars I'd prefer most but I wouldn't mind one of the Ferraris they start off with? Or perhaps a Dodge Charger.....hmm there are some nice cars in this film.

If you want to watch beautiful cars in movies then you have to watch '2fast2furious'... that Skyline GTR and RX7...

There will undoubtebly be those out there that disagree with me but....I don't really like it that much.

Sure, I want the horses running around under the bonnet, don't get me wrong, but it is too much 'muscle car' for my liking. The reason that I went for a Galant in the first place was because of the subtle, yet stunning styling.

However, watching 2F2F those cars are cool. When the guys race to win the two cars you can see the difference in styling between the Mitsi Evo and the Ford V8. I don't think its a coincidence that they put the blockheads in the two muscle cars at the beginning!! :D

Differences in opinion will be duly noted and then filed appropriately :gun2:

lol:D

DGMW I am not saying that the car is hideous or anything. I like the subtle colouring and detailing, and the alloys are cool, but its all the sculpting, vents, bulges.... doesn't do anything for me.

I am a clean lines kinds guy :cool1:

Have to agree with Col on this one, I'm not a big fan of the Shelby GT500 although the 350 Cobra is a different story. A lot more subtle and less shoite attached to it.

What was the point in attaching those 2 huge lamps to the front, is it to blind the bunnies when you tear up the countryside lanes?

They have tried to stay loyal to the original design INSERT INTO post VALUES (how can you perfect perfection) and I think that they have managed it. I think that only the purists would complain about some of the differences on the new car. If you love the original INSERT INTO post VALUES (and I do) then I don't think that you would love the new one any less.

One of the guys that works on the base here has a GT40 replica with a 5ltr V8 that he roars around in...sounds awesome. The new model does bring a little more luxury, I don't know what the original was like to drive INSERT INTO post VALUES (but would loooooove to :D ) but the replica is very basic inside. You need a steady foot on the throttle to handle all that power as it does like to put it down very quickly INSERT INTO post VALUES (wheel spinning in third gear :devil2: )

I think that the GT40 INSERT INTO post VALUES (old and new) has to be in the top 10 of the coolest cars ever. Anybody else agree??? :thumb:
