View Full Version : So VR-4's are 4wd...lets add dirt *NOT* Kieran safe

Got home early, decided to have some fun :) ASC really sucks on dirt though, especially when all 4 wheels are spinning. I may have to disable that to do full slides around the house. /rally

I also found the best launches on dirt come from being at 2500rpm in 2nd gear

bradc

Ohh and btw, the big shed in the background of the second pic is reserved for future NZ workshop days :)

Nah, this is fine, that looks like fun - However, I do presume you washed the car afterwards, right?!:inquisiti

bradc
09-01-2007, 10:33 AM
Of course not. In fact it's still out there in the mud, I couldn't be bothered driving it back around. It will be fine, I'm hoping it is wet tomorrow so most of the mud comes off when driving.

You know I haven't hand washed a car since the end of 2005 :) The white Legnum has gone through a car wash once so far, about 4000km ago, and it isn't going to see one any time soon!

Very nice!!!

Those black wheels look awesome.. :P Blend in well.. :P

bradc
09-01-2007, 06:48 PM
It is actually quite hard to get mud up onto the car, it tends to just stick on the wheels :) You can see where I've been making ruts in the last few photo's, but for some reason the sides of the car aren't that dirty. Underneath it is covered in dirt though :)

Candee, they do look nice, and it looks like they will fit over Brembo's too :)

lol thats nothing you should see my galant ok its not a VR4 ....but its brown...well its silver underneath....issue i have is that my drive is like 1/2 mile long mud track...and its not stopped raining for a while so my cars brown...then the floods came, ie all roads out about half foot in muddy water.....then messing about in some mud other day to get rid of the ditch finders.....theres no point in washing it now really, because its dirty within a day..... ill try get some pics up....has been worse....what i thought was a puddle was actually just pure mud, with water over it.... put it this way i couldnt see out any side windows after wards lol

I can show you all how to get mud up the sides no problem, and on the roof, the bonnet, the rear, you name it ..

Sideways, 4w drift, gravel/mud/sand road/surface and chuck it in hard and keep all the wheels spinning in Tip 2 or 3. no problem !!! /rally

In fact it will probably take you about 3 months to dig all the crud out from underneath the car let alone off the body ...:2thumbsup

You wanna ditch digging round that house of yours Brad ..?
Take me about 4 loops I reckon, then you can bury the power cable out to the shed in it, should be at legal depth ...

Let me know and I'll put the Dunlops on the 16" rims on and give it a whirl.:2thumbsup /rally

the only hole we need digging is one for the pool, and I doubt you'd be able to accomplish that in a VR-4 anyway.

ill show you how to get your car muddy, without having 4wd or a VR4 lol and i can show you how to get the whole car covered in mud....to chicken to do it to my galant, incase i break it, but if anyone wants to lend me a non turbo galant i can do it for them

Shoots, thats pretty damn expensive thing, I thought its worth less than $200 USD NIB LOL. for GBP 500 I better spend the money to upgrade my sound system. Well in my local area, people love to modify the OEM headlamp into HID model. the cost is $200-$250 USD. They use the grand suzuki vitara HID lamp, or Mazda RX8. I will look for the pic of modification on my friends galant and post it here.
