Got a new boost controller

I have one also pretty good but i don't use all the features most are turned off
I had the original intention to use it to switch boost up and down


na max all the time just monitor
mines set to .85 and 53% gain to start you from not use gear shifts or self learn etc
Seems ok for boost spiking even better now it's decated

Mine is setup different to yours Stuart I have the peak set at 0.9 which has spiked to 1 before now .

I will have a look at work today and read off the settings as it is based on RPM but if I remember correctly I have set like this :-

0-3000 it does not control the boost at all
3000-4500 allows it go to around 1 bar
4500-7000 allows it to go to around 0.9 bar

No self learn mode enabled on mine just use settings A as above and B at 0.5 with a 40% duty to pretend to be stock

Why not increase the boost as much as possible up to 3000rpm? Thats where you spend most of your time driving.

Long technical post starting

Paul goto settings for channel one , select next and you will get up the programming menu

got to NE points and set the following points
1 - 3000
2- 3500
3- 4000
4- 4500
5- 5000
6- 5500
7- 6000
8- 6500
Now press previous button this will save these settings , ok now go to boost ( option 1)
move the cursor over the letters BST and press next , this will bring up a graph that you can alter the boost for each rpm range , below are the settings I have for each NE point that is set up , once you have entered the values press previous and move to the duty cycle , again select this and enter the duty points on the graph
rpm - Boost - Duty
3000 - 1.2 70%
3500 - 1.05 66%
4000- 1.05 62%
4500 - 1.00 60%
5000 - 1.00 60%
5500 - 1.00 60%
6000 - 1.00 60%
6500 - 0.9 58%

Press previous and agin these will be saved , but what you will see is that the controller is showing *** in the BST and DUTY settings which means you have set it up as RPM based control .

Now my settings were done on a rolling road and have been running at these levels for about 6+ months , but as with anything I do not garentee they will work for every car . And if you get it right as Richy Rich found out the other day the slap you get under boost is great :D

And Brad when I say I have no boost control before 3000 rpm , it means that the wastgates don't know I have any boost

I fitted it myself in about 4hrs , the setup was done at a RR .

Is a doodle to fit though mate , give us a shout if you need a hand , essex aint that far away
