Ok, I'm going to start going back to doing some of my own work again.

So what would be the recommendation for tools and other necessaties.

I have a lot of basic tools, plus power tools and axel stands.

Plus can we have a part no. for the sump washer.
And the correct weight/type of oil, at the moment it is always fully sync.

Any other comments welcome.:2thumbsup

Mostly youll need

Trolley Jack
19" Socket/Spanner
17" Socket/Spanner
12" Socket/Spanner
10" Socket/Spanner
Wooden Mallet
Philips Screwdriver
Flathead Screwdriver

With those, you can pretty much do everything.

I assume you mean mm, not inches! :inquisiti

Some of the drain plugs are 24mm.

I found this (http://www.performanceoilsltd.co.uk/pump_amsoil.jpg) very useful too.

There is the occaisonal 14mm too, but not in every day servicing, I don't think.

It will be worth getting a variety of lengths of sockets for the rear diff fill plug that you access through the rear cross member. The AYC fluid fill, IIRC. It is a biatch to get at, and impossible with the wrong length socket! You'll have to check if that is 17mm or 19mm, though, as I can't remember.
