HI,

can anyone tell me if legnums came with 5 stud hub carrier as standard.

Mine has 18" rims and 5 stud hubs.

does this mean they are post facelift hubs which can have brembo's fitted to them without any issues.

did all post facelift hubs have 5 studs.

Any help would be great.

all VR4's, Legnums or otherwise have 5 studs

all the VR4s came as 5 stud,
all the 5 stud hubs are the same on all the 8g series,
most non turbos came with 4stud hubs,

the hub carriers on 96-98 4wd modles are the same (turbo or not)
and brembos do NOT bolt up to these,

98-02 VR4s have a different hub carrier and can have brembos directly bolted on,

the 98+ facelift hub carrier can be fitted with no mods onto the prefacelift,
you will also need to use the facelift abs sensors as they are longer,

the rear bembo brakes bolt up to the rear on prefacelifts and facelifts without mods, they are the same, didnt change when the cars when they facelifted the cars

The PCD is 5x114.3mm if you were interested as well.

Do you actually have a facelift car or a prefacelift?

Thanks for all the info guys

I have a prefacelift 96 so i would need new hub carriers and that pushes the price up.

Cheers for the info

Dave

You could investigate modding the existing carriers.

I still think it would work...

I just had a machine shop fabricate a bracket so the Brembo calipers would bolt on to my pre-facelift VR4. They did it twice before they got it right though.
I couldn't find used hub carriers here so I went the bracket way.
The hub carrier way would be better !

How much were the brackets, and do you have a Template drawing. It would be a nice option to have.

Cheers Dave

Sorry, no template & I still don't trust the accuracy of the fabrication. There seems to be a slight difference between left & right...left side pad seems to be sitting slightly higher than the right.
Hub carriers, that's what i want now.

If I knew about the PowerSlot big rotor upgrade before I bought the Brembo's, I think I would have gone that way.
