A few pics of the lovely white stuff :afro:
1st few were taken around fox house... just 4 miles or so from me. The A625 was only just passable in parts, & this is around 6 miles before it starts to climb over the trans pennine routes [ which are all shut ] :inquisiti
the last one... taken whilst driving... is 1 mile from home. hardly a drop of the white stuff !! :thinking:

the snow ploughs haven't done a very good job. around 3" of snow compressed on parts of the road. /pan /pan It was like a skid pan !!

No snow here either. Frosty, which meant getting the Golf out of bed this morning took longer than usual, but other than that it's dry and sunny - just very cold!

Adam has had rugby practice cancelled this evening as Leek is expecting snow and the ground is frozen at the mo.

Hope snow don't come here.... Don't mind driving in it when it first falls, but the road that leads down to the main road from our house turns into an ice rink when the slush freezes the next day.

Ariadne likes snow. But she's in dry-dock.

Skarloey drives like a pudding at the best of times. He's operational as per usual.

I hope there's no snow!:speechles

Well..... I made over the snake this morning !! JUST. /rally at the very top there were several abandoned/ crashed cars & vans.
It's not easy taking pics whilst driving, but you can just see in one pic, a transit van on it's side in a ditch. there were about 10 cars in all dumped. :thinking:
The road was still covered in snow, much of it blown on by the strong winds at nearly 3000ft ! :speechles the snow ploughs were really struggling to keep it clear, & TBH.... it should have still been shut. /pan
I did stop on the way up to take some pretty pictures, just wish I could have parked at the top for you to see the carnage !!

/edit. most of the pics were taken on the way down this afternoon...... [ If you are thinking the road looks clear !! ]
