That pipe runs from the back of the maf to the turbo intakes. I don't know how many people have seen the pipe that runs to the front turbo, but it is absolutely horrid! Don't know if anyone is interested in buying one, but I thought I would put the link up.

Aye, that front one is a bit ropey..

Im looking into making up another option using steel, but awaiting parts from a supplier at the moment.

Kieran, it is a difficult pipe to make though, probably more difficult than the downpipes.

WRD should make some though, the stock intake pipe to the front turbo is really crap!

With all the welds on there, surely the air wouldnt flow very well?

I think they weld in sections so that they can grind each seam smooth as they go - I'd imagine anyway.

I think they weld in sections so that they can grind each seam smooth as they go - I'd imagine anyway.

They weld in sections because they cannot bend to that degree, or because to have a bend that tight would require heavy steel.
So you section weld to keep the material thin and to get a tight bend.

I don't think you need to grind each seam smooth, so long as you make sure the overlap is in the direction of flow. Thats how my down pipes have been welded anyway.

Yeah but God would've taken much longer if he'd been teasing all the other celestial beings with previews of man and earth on the www.letscreateauniverse.co.uk's forums!
