Returned home this afternoon from collecting my new battery to find some of the battery fluid had leaked out after an emergency stop. (The battery didnt fall over, but was tilted against the back seat in the boot).
Some of the carpet had melted quite nicely. By the look of it the cloth is just staple gunned (and probably glued as well) so it should be a simple enough job to re-cover the affected area.
So! I have 2 questions.
1) Can i just top the new battery up with distilled water (Didnt lose too much, levels still ok in the battery)
2) Anyone got any of the black cloth used to line the boot in estates or know where i can source some?
TIA
