Gents, tried putting some GTO TT wheels on my car today as per the pics below.

Sorry bout the poor qaulity... but one pic shows the car with GTO TT rims, requiring a refurb :inquisiti

The other pic is my previous setup, which was Evo 8 Enkeis.. /Handbag

My opinion is that the enkeis suit the saloon far better, and I feel the enkeis dont have enough 'surface' metal if you know what I mean.. :speechles

I actually quite like the GTO wheels, plus the clear brembos! /rally

Plus, for some reason the car is far smoother now

Opinions?

They could do with a refurb, but they are very cheap.

I like them more than most wheels, probably more than my Evo 8 Enkeis

They just feel more right, plus they have Mitsi signs on them, woohoo

Sorry prefer the Enkei's personally - the spokes are just a tad too wide for my liking

I prefer the Enkeis, however its up to you, and how you feel about it..

As most people have said, i prefer the E8's.. But its what you prefer.. :)

OT: What size tyre are you running on the e8's?

From what I've heard in the US, the stock GTO wheels are very very heavy. It might be worth weighing both sets first.

I recently went from 20kg wheels to 15kg wheels (both with tyres on) and the difference in pickup and acceleration is really noticible, and it has dropped my fuel consumption by about 5%.

They done seem to be much, if any heavier than the Enkeis..

But I'll weigh them after I've put the new springs on.

Barge!

Well, aye, ok..

My saloon looked good with enkeis and i bagged some for the legnum, but it just doesnt look right with them.

However, maybe lowered, itll look better,

I think it's the colour. I usually don't mind Enkeis, but they do look a bit... 'Spindly' on your Legnum there. I think it might be the contrast to the bodywork that does it.

The GTO rims are certainly more chunky, I think it will look a lot better when lowered with them.

Both nice rims, but GTO's look too heavy IMHO.
