well after i got home today a could smell the brakes,
particually my fronts drivers size one.

the whole wheel was bloody hot,

pulled it all apart,

and one on the pistons is very stuck,

i can make it go out, but it is etremely hard to push back....

any tips/tricks quick fixes?
to get it unstuck??

ive got a week and a bit before i can get my hands on my new brakes.

you tried cracking the bleed nipple and pushing it back?

I'm not sure with car disk brakes, but on MTB's you smear the piston is either brake fluid, or silicone grease, push it in and out a few times, maybe recoat if it all the grease comes off. Hopfully that should work. The silcone grease wont interfere with the fluid or seals which is why its used.

here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ABBEY-SILICONE-GREASE-20ML-POT_W0QQitemZ260079849421QQihZ016QQcategoryZ52509Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) is some on eBay.

just had another go at it,

the piston can move in and out,

but only moves in so far and gets stuck,
like theres something stuck behind the piston....

may have to wait till my new brakes arrive

probably find that the bore is out of shape or fill with ****. it will prob need rehoaning and a seal kit...... so yeah prob best to wait for you new brakes

or you can have xxx x xxxx's old front calipers which I have... Just need to pick them up, i could take them to work, or we can do the job at the workshop day. Let me know.

picked up a spare caliper today at pic a part, $20
off a 96+ diamante,
give me time to clean up my newer brakes and machine the disks.

and guess what,

they use the same hub carrier as the facelift legnum... (looks the same)
deffinately had the extra long abs sensor...

both the carriers and abs sensors are still on it.
