Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I just got a tip and went down to Penrose Motors, who seem to know infinitely more about our cars than anyone I've met so far... and the dude put some 'Pro-mar' additive in my oil, totally got rid of my lifter noise (lash adjusters? same thing?) :)

$30 even if it only fixes it for a while seems fine to me.

On a related note they figured out the belts i had replaced by someone else were not tensioned right, hence squeeking i'm getting from my power steering, so I'm off back to try get them to fix the prob for free! Wish me luck.

Great to hear Simon...it's hard to find garages who know what they're working on nowadays.
If you're keen on some more Pro-ma additives I've got a contact view THIS THREAD (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18359&highlight=pro-ma)
Oh and good luck! :D

8:30 to 5:30, want to car pool? You could drive to my place each morning and we could just alternate taking each others cars the rest of the way, as long as your hours are similar :)
