Does anyone know the dry weights for both the 7g and 8g Galants ?

And also, are the engine mounts for the 6a12tt and the 6a13tt the same ?

Mitsi quote the weight at around 1550-1600kg for the 8G, but when measured most people report them as being about 1650-1700kg, that obviously accounts for all the fuel, oil, crap people keep in cars, etc.

As far as I know all 6Axx engines have the same mounts. I know that it is possible to put a 6A13 engine into an FTO with a 6A12, so I would imagine the turbo versions of the engines would be similar.

interesting. Looking at putting a 6a13tt into a 7g galant (hey they're cheap!) and they also look a little smaller and lighter, should all be fairly straightforward....

8G's are cheap enough as well :) I think the mitsi quoted weight for a 7G is 80kg lighter than an 8G
