Can someone give a hand to distinguish the type S and V VR4? what are the differences?
Was there any previous thread about this?

Thanks

Out of the factory, a Type V will have prefacelift wheels, no boot spoiler, no ayc, most of the time a normal dash, and can be either transmission.

A Type S will have wheel arches, slightly larger wheels, boot spoiler, ayc, high-vis dash and again can be either transmission.

I tried a type V the other day and can confirm it had no arch kit, boot spolier or AYC but had pre-facelift alloys. I can't comment on the hi-vis dash but it wasn't particularly special so I guess it was a Lo-Res version.

yeah you definately had a type v then.

Some type V's do come with hi-vis dash's, it seems that it was more common in the later model facelifts, I know of a 2001 car and a 2002 car that are Type V's, but have the hi-vis dash.

finally got a quote from a salesman, arch kit whole set 6 pieces without paint and installation , buy price US$200. Good or not?
He said could fit legnum, but i am not sure it can fit galant or not.

if i am having a prefacelifted version, can it be installed?

It seems that there should be some holes in the fender and bumper for the arch kit but prefacelifted version doesn't have.

.....any suggestion? drill holes? pure adhesive?

US$200 isn't bad. It will all line up fine, but the piece that goes on the rear wheels may not line up with your bumper correctly, depending on the type of bumper you have. Put up a pic and I'll tell you.

As far as attaching them goes, I suggest taking it to a body shop
