As the title says. the cheaper the better, preferably a well maintained one.
Tiptronic O.K, must be under 150,000k.

If you see anythng around, just holler !!

I should never have sold mine /Grrr

Check out my gallery and look at my white one.

I got it at 117km, and since then have had ralliart do a full service on it, changing the trans and engine fluid with Amsoil, replaced the AYC diff, etc (it reached into the 4 figure bracket!) It was purchased with a dead auto gearbox, I got the one installed from my facelift car, and has been running great since. It has the black leather interior and I'd want to sell it with the black 5-spoke ralliart wheels that are in some of the pics. It's now at 127km.

Make me an offer - I do remember when you sold your one, it wasn't that long ago was it?

So it has the 280hp ecu ? What's the body like ?

does it have...MMCS ? Sunroof ? Nardi steering wheel ? ( Wood or leather ? )

5 speed tippy ?

It's pretty much what I'm after, do you still have the centre piece from the front bumper.
Yeah probably sold mine just under 6 months ago, i bought something small and economical ( No i wont say what ...)

But the novelty of economy has long worn off !!

I have the feeling that because it's had a bit of work done on it, you'll be after more than i'm wanting to spend though...

It has the 260hp ecu in it, but I have the 280hp ecu spare.

It doesn't have mmcs or a sunroof, it has a wooden nardi steering wheel, and the 5 speed tip box. Never had the centre thing for the bumper.

It hasn't really had much work done to it, it is 100% stock mechanically, I just wanted the best possible service done to it.

What's the body like ?

We saw it on the Workshop day, its a tidy car inside and out, and the gearbox cant have too many k's on it. Apart from brad doing donuts around his lawn i'm sure it would be a safer bet mechanically than something fresh off the boat.

yeah it is a nicely looked after car ;) I was stoked with it, especially considering I bought and paid for it when it was in Wellington and I hadn't seen it before it got delivered.

how much is a full service from mitsi or ralliart usually?

berg1987
27-02-2007, 06:40 AM
oh and bradc would you be keen to sell that ecu?

bradc
27-02-2007, 07:04 AM
berg - if you want your AYC, ATF and all other fluids done, expect it to be $500-900. If you want your cambelt plus everything else done, then expect it to be around $1500. Ralliart are the best place though :)

I'm keen to sell the ecu, $150 and it's yours

150 sounds good! im in chch at the moment and i need/want to get a good service done before i drive home to auckland, cambelt is was done at 77k so just looking for a normal service. will i be hard to fit the ecu into my 97 tip vr4?

bradc
27-02-2007, 07:55 AM
it is really quite easy to do. I don't have the ecu at the moment anyway, it's with my car, I will need to check that they still have it spare, and probably go and pick it up on a saturday morning from them.

i thought everyone decided it wasnt a ecu diff,
but a wastegate actuator diff that made the power diff??
(could be wrong i dont own a vr4)

They do something with the boost control and alter the overall tune slightly (facelift manual ecu's give mre torque than prefacelift manual ecu's)

how much you want to pay??

I have a good silver one that is possibly for sale, have to many cars at home.

I have owned only about 7-8 months... new import
from memory it is only round the 100k mark

Car sits in the garage and hardly gets used (a waste) as we have company cars

It has tan leather interior, tiptronic, no sunroof etc...

I also have a new set of 17x7 silver ANZ Diesel alloys for it that have not been fitted yet that can go for the right price...

if interested give me a call 021 223 1046

Cheers Nigel

Looking for something under seven. I sold mine for six, about six months ago, and there are a few around for around seven, just a matter of finding the right one :)

Gly

whats the right one?

fatmikenz
17-03-2007, 12:33 AM
Something in the right price range that has either been well serviced, or cheap enough that i can buy it and then spend the extra cash servicing it.
Must have had cambelt done, prefer white, can only afford a tippy, not rough or thrashed / badly modified, prefer cloth interior, prefer MMCS ( it think that's what its called ) and prefer type S...

That probably seems a lot to ask, but I am flexible and I dont want to buy the first one that comes along and be dissapointed.
