How heavy is a Galant?

I jacked up the galant for the first time tonight

Blooming heck it felt heavy, the new trolley jack was taking the strain...just!


How heavy is the Galant V6? seems heavier than the rover 620ti and I thought that was a solid ride

Going to take me a little while to get used to being underneath it, almost considering a pit!

Plenty! Yours will be lighter than a VR4 estate, but I have weighed one of those at 1660 kg with not too much fuel and no passengers.

Got a feeling my ramps wont take the strain too... they may only be rated for 1 tonne but i cant tell due to the label wearing away...

looks like a trip down to halfrauds for some new stands..... wheres the best place to place stands on a galant?

1 ton for the ramps, or 1 ton per ramp? 2 ramps rated at 1 ton each will hold the car easy if you are on a fairly level surface

My VR4 was 1669KG with a full tank of fuel and a small amount of tools in the car, no people in it. But weigh bridge only went up in 20KG incriments. However you will not have 4WD, which is heavy.
