New Logo's/Graphics - First Pictures

They are on !

Firstly, I ran a thread on here asking for ideas to replace the "Ralliart" logo's we had on the car. Although we did not proceed with any of those ideas, may I once again thank the people who posted.

Secondly, thank you to Axeboy who superimposed my final plan onto my car and kept it all secret for me.....cheers Scott :iloveyou:

So, finally the day arrived today. Many emails, phone calls and concerns have taken place over the last month or two, but we entrusted the job to the same guys who did the Ralliart logos.

So, first job was to remove the old logos.

They were certainly applied well.....took over an hour to remove !

So.....here we go !

The inspiration for the new logo's ended up being from America and Australia.

From America......Jack Daniel's

From Australia.....the Jack Daniel's Holden Racing Team

Anyone who knows me well, knows I am a JD lover. I even have a cabinet here at home filled with JD memorabilia. Jokingly one night, Shaz said..."How about Jack Daniel's"...... I remembered seeing some pix on the internet of the JD Racing Team from Aus, who race Holden V8 Commordore's.

It just happens that the car also looks very similar in profile to my VR4....well to me it does (except the spoiler).

So.....here's a pic of the 2006 car that it was all based on:

If you look, in the original picture the text under the "Jack Daniel's" says

"Pace Yourself. Drink Responsibly".

Very PC.....but not on my car !

So we finally decided to change this to

"The Spirit Of Competition".....just seemed to be perfect

Spirit is of course my username

JD is a spirit

And it's also the logo used by Ralliart........:pimp2:

Im a JD lover too, not got enough memorabilia for its own cabinet yet but im on my way there.

We were going to leave the back end alone, but it sort of looks naked now, so we have ordered a couple of bits for the back.

Will try and get a few better pictures soon.....in fact we are waiting for some higher quality ones to be emailed.

Have to be honest, I think it looks even better than the Ralliart. I'd never be brave enough to do something like that myself, but I do think that looks good. Top marks my man:thumbsup:

Actually that's a good point Pete. You ought to take some pics and send them into Jack Daniels explaining that you attend lots of shows and track days ... you may get some free gifts :scholar:

Just a quicke!, I used to run a car few years back and I put a white racing circle on the door with 13 (in black racing numbers from demon teewks) in the centre, and I got pulled by the cops and told to remove the number, something to do with road going cars and racing cars, or some b***cks.

I'm sitting on the fence with this one. Never really liked stickers on cars, even as far as shopping lists, but I'm not sure with your's Pete. I kinda like it, but at the same time don't.

For sole track use then ye, looks the biz. But for everyday or even infrequent road use, then no. But as said above, as long as you like it then what the hey.
