The Merc is a 1984 500sec AMG with V8 and all the usual euro extras of its time ...when they came out they were worth $250 000 new ....Beast sounds fantastic !!! I will post some more pics of my car tomorrow

bradc

it isn't, the 17x7 Volk's don't fit over them :)

They are indeed brembos, i got 10mm spacers and the brembo name had to be ground off to fit the wheels on, its all certed with 4 pot front and 2 pot rear! and the wheels are TMW (random jap wheels that it came with)

something just occured to me, you've got spacers on your car that have been certified.

Are they just a metal disk that requires the wheels to bolt onto the original hub bolts, or are they the style that bolt onto the hub first, then the wheel bolts onto the spacer?

10mm has got to be a metal disk that requires the wheels to bolt onto the original hub bolts

Gly

what size cooler and piping you using?

rayray24
14-03-2007, 07:05 AM
They bolt on to the hub and the wheels over that!

I do remeber saying that i wasn't sure if the fronts were brembos brad? But i just got all the paper work (past servies etc...) from the car dealer and it confirmed that they are!

Gly, the pipes are 3" all around apart from the standard "y" pipe and from that the pipe to the turbo over the back is 2.5.
The cooler is a greddy 650mm x 280mm x100mm.

I KNOW! /pan

Just about every one i see on trade me is missing that part. At least the facelift ones look like they are stuck on a bit better.

Really? But my black one is stuck on like mad!! I still have my plastic scrap guard on it so that adds a few more screws so it's not going anywhere!!

Mind you i only lost the one on the silver vr4 when it got stolen.... /Grrr

bradc
