Axle points?

I'm looking for a better place to stick my axle stands so I can get more room to move underneath, the lowest setting of the halfords axle stands isnt enough.

currently, I'm jacking fromt he front, putting stands and soft wood under each sill.
I'v enot had experience jacking anywhere else, so need some good pointers

I usually put mine on the bit that holds the rear lower lateral arm in place, cos my axle stands fit in there perfectly.

yeah kinda, bit of common sense should be used when placing it though ..

Also for some jobs I do, i remove the bitty that goes up and down, the axle stand will then sit around that bolt you can see - nice and snug... thats the way i normally do it, i dont really have arequirement to lift my car up all that high.
