I thought there was no difference in the two models? There IS in price!

Mitsubishi changed the disc on the V6. The original 256mm disc (as used on the GLS for its whole run) was too small. The early V6s (97-98) used that smaller disc, before changing to a larger one. Which you need depends on when your car was produced.

ah, 275's for mePete, you may want to llok closely at Rossini discs. Info at: http://carparts-direct.co.uk/catalog...rake_discs.cfm. I've just fitted a pair on my 2001 V6 Sport and so far been impressed with performance. And they came at £255 including pads, if I recall correctly.
