And the result is that by 1pm I was confident enough to weld the cracks in my down pipes.

first weld basically covers a stress fracture (from accident)

the second was actuall very difficult because the crush/scrape area was very very thin. The crush/scrape area was already there when I got the down pipes about a year ago. However the accident put a fracture into the metal right across the crushed area. I also pushed the crushed area out a little which should help flow.

Next project is to get the cat back section all welded up :)

Yeah :) there are a couple of small crushed areas that I could re-do, but it wouldn't be worth it and I have popped them out a bit anyway. Maybe another day ill replace any crushed bits.

Yeah, hard pipes are on the list of things to do. will probably sort the exhaust first, then move to the intake.

Ohh yeah true, you can't just swap the fabric out from the existing ST doors? TBH the light grey interior was the only thing I didn't like about that car.

Gly

if you havent found door trims in a month or so, i may have changed my mind about the door trims I have... dont forget though, i do only have 3

Gly

Kenneth

I was thinking of maybe doing that with the galant.

because i dont have the full interior, no point in putting it in the galant.

so yeah, if you want the door trims I am sure we can come to some arangement.

I'd sell mine, but they're the bluey kinda colour, not the plain black ones.
