Mmmm.... not sure about the torque figures. Powerwise, final run is 360BHP at the hubs. That's at 1 bar, which is the most the Blitz ECU will fuel to. 1.2-1.3 is the safe max for the current turbos, if I decide that a bit more power is in order. Have to change the ECU though.

I'll try tofind out what was going on with the torque figures.

The torque figure is in line with the Torque Performance dyno we have over here, it must have something to do with the gear the car is in, and the torque multiplication.

It does look nice Bern, but an R34 is still better :)

BLOODY COPYCAT! PAH, take my eye of clubvr33supra4 for one minute and look what happens! Same bloody colour as well, for fecks sake!!!

Only kidding...very nice purchase, looks well tasty with those wheels - I really want to invest in a tarty set of 18" Volks, but I want to keep the 17's for track.

Also noticed that some of your gauges are in different positions to mine - I guess on one our our cars they've been shifted by a previous owner.

Mind that front lip spoiler now ;)

At last, a post from a man with taste ;)

Which gauges Jiminy? Could it be because your's is post facelift, and mine's pre...?

Centre console positions were the same as the others I've driven, but I didn't drive anything post 97.

Interestingly (anal :inquisiti) my gauges have 'boost' etc written on them, whereas most cars I've driven had little symbols instead of words...

Couldn't quite tell what was what to be honest, but on mine in the centre above the stereo I have (from l-r): Torque, Oil Temp, and Boost, then on the dash I have water temp, fuel, and oil pressure. I'd be tempted to shift mine around a bit to be honest - fuel and water moved out of the dash and swapped with Oil Temp and Torque...I'm sick of averting my eyes down-left to see whether I'm pushing it hard enough!!

Might be a pre-post thing, but I thought the only differences between those were passenger airbag, xenons, and red stitching on the seats......oh, and oil filter :embarasse

Is yours a V-spec? Even though I've said it already, I have to say it again, those wheels look STUNNING! I want something similar to them...what are they size-wise? 18-245?

Noticed you've got a load of Abbey Motorsport stickers too, I'm guessing they did the tuning. Once I've got used to mine I'm giving them a call to see what a stage-1 costs me....eeek!

It is a bit of a silly place to put the torque guage. I'm not sure how easy it would be to juggle things around - the centre gauge unit is all-in one AFIK. Might be worth a little :inquisiti

The WRD boys will be delighted to know that mine has a remote cooler and filter, so it's a piece of p to change :D

No, it's non v-spec with tein adjustables and the EDFC (pic). SO I've got a diff that only mucks about 100times/sec rather than 1000 :)

Yes and yes. All the plans went out of the window when I changed my fickle allegance to Skylines! People are still asking £17K for UK 1998's - not a hope in hell getting it, but I can't wait until they see sense :D

Forgot the tyres, James - theyre 265/35/18's - GSD3's are £150 a corner :o. I'll be looking for some 17's for the track too.

And no Wouter, I'll be sheep bothering on this forum for some time yet :inquisiti

That's the man Kenan (the seller) mentioned :thumbsup

Incidently, if any of you are after a GTR-vspec, this one (http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/70838-r33-gtr-v-spec.html) was 2nd on my list. The Field bodykit is a bit tatty in places - front bumper in particular, and there's a bit of rust at one corner of the boot. It's got a gorgeous engine - built in Dec last year, lots of NISMO bits. It's running 1.2bar and probably making about 500BHP. Turbo's are capable of more, but although the engine was bored, rods are standard so you'd need to get forged if you wanted more - 500ish seems to be the limit of theses engines with std rods.
It's owned by a young guy who I think bit off more than he can chew - nearly 3 grand insurance a year etc, and he's desperate to sell. I reckon you could probably get it for £11K with some hard bargaining.
Reason I chose the other is that this one has tein adjustables and the ride is very hard. He wasn't sure what setting they were on, so I couldn;t be certain that it could be softened enough for a daily transport car. I'm not wild about the bodylit either, and it's very low. Exhaust is very loud.

It was a tough choice - that car is a lot of bang for your buck.

This is definiteley a thread from the dead, but just spotted Bern's Skyline on eBay :uhoh2:

Looks the dog's danglies, and having experienced Silverstone as a passenger in it, I was gobsmacked at it's raw power!

Bern's Skyline on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-Skyline-R33-GTR-Built-ABBEY-MOTORSPORT-/200566793659?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2eb2b665bb)

Sad to see Bern no longer owns it. Anyone heard from him lately? Maybe he's moved onto a new project car?

Noooooooooooooo, shame, its an epic car.

I can still recall doing 140 (private road of course) in the frost with richy taking up the space that the passenger seat used to take up /Devil5

it left a lasting impression i can tell you, I WILL have an R33 gtr at some point

Same here.
I remember Bern doing 140 at the end of the long straight at Silverstone and he'd only got the car back from Abbey that week so that was him bedding the engine in!
