Don't know if this is the right place to start this thread, if not I apologise...

Shortly I may be selling my 2.5 V6 Galant Sport.
She's in VGC, with comprehensive service history, a new set of alloys (Gunmetal Grey with chrome rims) are fitted, still have the old Sport Alloys which I'll throw in as well, they are only taking up room in my garage.

Mileage is a little high, just coming up to 80k.

Registered new in 2003, one owner before me.

Colour is Trigger Mauve..?? (That purple/grey one anyway)

Wondered if anyone might be interested or give me some idea as to the value.
Can get some piccy's up if it would help.

About £500 I reckon mate. Where do you live and can I pick up at the weekend?

I'd say £4000 for a quick sale, but looking at whats on the Autotrader site I bet you'd get nearer to £5k possibly a bit more if your patient and advertise it well.

I didn't know V6 Sport were registered in 2003. I thought they were discontinued in 2001.

Elegance models discontinued in 2003.

Quite often car manufacturers are left with more stock than they can sell, and with a low volume/low sales product like the Galant, I bet there were a few kicking around waiting for a buyer.

Either that or the 'Sport' spec was in production for longer than we previously thought.

Hi all..

Sorry to bring this one up again but she's deffo got to go...

New job, more miles, more economy needed.

Been going around the garages looking at replacement motors, yes the dreaded oil-burner is now a necessity. Part-ex values are laughable on the old girl, best offer PE so far is 1800, would probably go to 2k.... /Grrr

Where is the best to advertise, Autotrader?? EBAY??

Haven't had any experience of private selling before so general advice on what to say in ads would be appreciated. Also, what is the general consensus of opinion on a realistic price......
