Help, when ever my car is left overnight the battery goes flat.... I thought it might be a duff battery so I put a new one on but its still happening!

Things I know its not.

No interior lights left on.
No alarm fault.

Any ideas of what to check?

I was supposed to be going to scotland for a party this weekend but I may have to cancel....

Why would that let the battery run flat when the ignition is off?

If its not charging battery correctly it will drain over night espiecally with Alarm etc running

When the car is running the turbo timer has a battery indicator on it also, this reads 13.4 volts for about 10 minutes and then drops to 12.7 for the rest of the journey?

Phil

I remember that your power cable was a bit loose in the connector block , try re inserting it as it may not hold in engough once runing

i would say bad connections on the battery, my galant used to do it all the time, the earth kept coming loose, replaced nut and bolt tightened it on, no issues since

Try taking half your fuses out, if the battery still goes flat you can then split the remaining fuses in half. By a process of elimination you should be able to narrow the fault down.

If you are anywhere near Edinburgh for your party and need a hand then give me a shout

I have heard of this type of issue being caused by a turbo timer, try switching it off or unplugging it and see what happens.

take off your earth lead from the battery and connect one end of a test light to the battery the other end to the lead if it lights up there is a drain. if it does light up take out each fuse one by one till it goes out, if it doesn't light up then it could be a faulty new battery it does happen

im guessing faulty battery terminals... or a disconnected earth wire or something
