Anybody now the law on this because Ive found a few, and Ive been told that recovery trucks can be mot exempt.

We have a 7.5 ton man beavertail recovery truck with winch and ramps Ive used it to move my car.

no not mot , just tacho exempt and if i remember correctly they don't have limiters either

just double check with vosa , but thats how we used to run our 30 ton spec lift . we used to get some funny looks off of car drivers towing a 17 ton volvo at 90 mph :evilgrin: i'm fairly sure the speed limits for them are the same as artics , until dual carrigeways then its 60 dual /70 motorways

Yeah we always had to MOT our Cargo recovery trucks one used to go straight through and the other was a b@gger
