are the evo 5 hub carriers an option for pre facelift owners?

are the facelift carriers the same as later evo ones?

just looking for alternatives..

no such thing as a facelift str, but there are facelift 1.8 and 2.4 gdi's. I have no idea if their hub carriers are compatible or not.

2.4 gdi is 5 stud - so maybe?

1.8 hub carriers maybe? i spose i need to see them all.
damnit.

the difference with the facelift carriers is just the spacing of the caliper mounts right?

anyone got a photo of them for me?

IF I worked at my last place still I could have had loads of these machined up for free from a pattern. All it would have cost would be the material...Hmm I still have friends there.

are you talking machining hubs, or conversion brackets for brembos to fit pre facelift leggy hubs

If its conversion brackets, I think there would be quite some interest.

Could probably do either as long as we had the design. If anyone can get me details of the differences I will CAD up the design for them. They have a CAM system there so should be easy to make a test set out of some aircraft aluminium.

Anyone know the differences??

seems to be a feasible idea to work out the conversion bracket as it's hard to find the facelift hubs,

heard that using cast iron is the best for such bracket, so would aircraft aluminium strong enough?

at least two differences i notice:
1) bolts holes are further apart from each other
2) line of bolt holes are little further away from the centre of hubs

very very very very interested if at all possible... got the brembos just need the hubs.

Adaptors should possible if spacing is different enough,(if that makes sense). you'd need space between original and new positions to fit the adaptor

I think the standard non vr4 galant may be different according to what a jap breaker guy told me the other day.
