As above just got one PC left with UNIX on but i need to format it but how do i do it???

cant you just do it like this and kill the previous partitions before installing windows?

What you trying to do with it stuart , the comand you typed will clear the disk , but not erase all data .

Also to issue that command you would need to be booted off a CD/DVD

I was trying to remove all the files (sold it) off of it either format of deleted
Well i did the above it then listed files but you could not access them
Did not care what happened to it.

Boss then remembers that he brother is the dogs at Unix
a bit of Unmounting and rm and a few others things cleared all but the Unix
operating system

ANd i got to be said the battery back up stuff from the sever is surprisingly heavy
