Right, this is my third attempt to get my piccies on here so it had better work this time. I have washed and waxed my car according to the 'Code of Kieran'. With sacred 'shammy' in hand I did rub the bodywork clean of sin and gloried in the brightness that shone from within.

Okay, so I altered it a little on photoshop. I just wanted it to be as clean as Kieran's motor. Here is the actual picture...

..and before anybody points it out, yes there is a bit missing from the bottom of the front spoiler. I think I lost it when I backed over a grassy hump which pulled it off. I didn't notice it at first but when I went back to the spot I couldn't find it. :INSERT INTO post VALUES (

Anybody know why it comes off and where I can get a new one from?

More pictures available if you want to see them

Very nice, great looking car.

I especially like the way its parked with the wheels at a jaunty angle, the girlfrriend is always taking the piss when I park like that....

But dammit, I have directional tyres, I want to show them off :-D

I want to get some Goodyear Eagle F1's cos I like the tread pattern INSERT INTO post VALUES (as well as their other redeeming features like their grip, water dispersing, etc). Girlie says that I can only get them when the others are worn out, so........... :D

Red rag to bull methinks :)

I totally agree with you Adam. They're girls what do they know about these things? Apart from all the girlie VR4 owners of course.... :$ /looks nervously over shoulder :uhoh2:

I am glad that you like ones estate Nick. I just had Tom the Groundsman tidy it up a bit don't you know. INSERT INTO post VALUES (actually had to take the pictures quickly cos there was an angry looking farmer running my war with a gun shouting 'Ger orf moy laaaaaand') :gun2:

The bit you are missing is the tow cover, about £30 to replace it from the dealer.....it will even come painted to match your car! Mine fell off doing 130mph......made an awful noise! Good job I was on a private road and I didn't force the cars behind to eat plastic!!

I have got some more pictures of the car. I noticed there is an area for members cars, where do I need to post the other pictures to put them into this area?

Sorry ..... I had to put my other pics on display. I just lurve this car.

Unfortunately I am driving around in a Mitsi Colt Space Crapper at the moment while the car is being serviced. :INSERT INTO post VALUES (

Fingers crossed they aren't going to find anything wrong with it. I even got them to sign a handover certificate when they took the car off me. They looked a bit bemused at first but couldn't see a reason why not to INSERT INTO post VALUES (especially as they had just made me sign one for the curtosy car).

It's crying out for JDM Headlights, isn't it!...
But UK ones are easier to repair if some fumbo clips your corners when parking their car...

Looks top dollar, mate. It's amazing how a good example of the Galant in almost any spec makes me smile all over again!

What are JDM headlights? Also, is it easy enough to fit the twin fog-lights to the car and where can I get them from? I think I may struggle retro-fitting the TT and the AYC though Zedy :)

I got the twin fogs on mine, I was under the impression they were standard on the sport?

colVR4

Adam, I think that the twin fogs were fitted to all Sport models post 2002. What year is your car?

adam_shaw

Its a 2000 INSERT INTO post VALUES (W); same as yours...

Curious, I guess the last owner shelled out for them?

i have the same fogs as yours col - 2002 model - exactly the same as yours - except for the leather :INSERT INTO post VALUES (

I think adams fogs are vr4 fogs.

I've quite fancied "adding" a small light/lamp - wired to side lights into the the space in the standard fogs housing - never got round to it tho..... :D

Adams front fogs are different to mine. I have not noticed those on any Galants before...

Maybe I should pop one out, see if there are any identifying marks etc?

If you can find out anything about your fogs Adam I would be grateful for the info. I wouldn't mind some of those in black to fit in place of the standard Sport ones.

...but not today, it's wet'n'orrible outside, but it looks like just one screw holding them in so it should be an easy thing to do INSERT INTO post VALUES (when it isn't raining)

What are JDM headlights?

They are the headlamp units fitted to the Japanese Domestic MarketINSERT INTO post VALUES (JDM) Galants. The main difference is the front indicators. On UK galants, the indicator is separate to the rest of the headlamp unit - the bulb housing is a separate piece of plastic that can be removed INSERT INTO post VALUES (handy if some prat catches one of your front corners). The JDM headlamp units have glass that wraps around and encloses the indicator corners. It looks that bit 'cleaner' I think.... Have a look here - this is Pete's car and you can clearly see the difference:

Thanks Kieran. I wondered what all this talk about JDM was, thought it was some kind of brand!! I don't mind the headlights on my car, they are clear with a coloured bulb INSERT INTO post VALUES (I think) so they don't stick out too much. Whilst trying to find out about JDM I discovered HID lights. Now they do look cool!! :)
