This is what I did to my fiancee's new MGTF 160. Well, I didn't actually do it, the white van that hit the front of it did most of the damage. The stain on the drivers seat is mine though :$

I can't find the right shade of Halfords Chip Repair Kit to touch it up though :drunk:

Only £3,500 to fix so I should only have to wash dishes for the next..oh say...25 years.

Nah...the engines in the back on these things and they are made to crumple like that. The whole of the front can be replaced quite easily hence the relatively low price tag. The van got away with a broken number plate and a dented front bumper. :INSERT INTO post VALUES (

Fortunately I had proposed the week before and bought her the ring so I think that dampened the reaction slightly. Of course, if she ever dents or scrapes my car then this little incident will be brought up saying that it is nowhere near as bad as what I did to her car....blah blah blah..nag nag nag..

As BDA has been known to back Mrs BDA's car into a tree INSERT INTO post VALUES (only days after it had had a new back end fitted following some other bloke running into it) I think a bit more sympathy would have been in order.

I take it you walked away uninjured mate ? Hope so

Believe it or not it was a low speed impact INSERT INTO post VALUES (approx 10-15 mph). Nobody was injured, although I certainly felt like injuring the guy who hit me. The really annoying thing is that because it was a single track road I have to prove that he hit me and it wasn't 50-50....not easy. Fortunately I took some photos.

I don't think I have a hope of getting a VR-4 in the foreseeable Kieran, but then again I am more than happy with the Sport. Have you thought about upgrading to the Sport instead of the VR-4. Saw an X-reg in autotrader for £6,500 fully-loaded. Lower insurance than the VR-4 and reasonable economy...and you get the V6 grunt and growl :-D

I was very humble BigD. I spent the week apologising and flooding her with flowers and chocolates. She says that she is just happy that I am okay :smitten:

Yes... I've wondered about upgrading to the V6 Sport instead, as it has nearly all the VR-4 coolness bits on itINSERT INTO post VALUES (technical term). I have also wondered about a Jap Import V6 Galant Viento - this is essentially a 4WD V6 Sport....

Argh.... :rolleyes5

Never heard of the Viento before. Sounds like a good compromise though. Is it still Auto or can you get it in manual as well?
