Have to say I agree with the comments on the Toyos. I swear by them and for the VR4 size they are only £56 each!

I had Toyos on my Audi S3 and was very impressed with them - even had grip at low temperatures ( ~ 0C), as a relieved squirrel can testify from a winter encounter. :)

Not tried F1s.

I've read a few stories like this over the last few weeks, it appears that in some cases at least, the wrong GSD3's can be blamed. Apparently some dodgy Goodyears which are identical to GSD3's apart from the compound are being imported from Korea and the like and sold here.

Hope mine will be OK! I have just bought a set of 235/45/17's. They have been manufactured in Aussie.

I might be tempted to give the new Toyo's a try for RT6/Spa1 - mind you I have been quoted £60 more than FK-452's........

When buying GS-D3's.. Ensure that the load and speed rating are correct ... Also that you are purchasingsthe XL's !! Extra Load.. They have a stronger side wall.. Theres about a 3-4 quid difference in price from standard 1's..

Load and speed rating should be as high as possible when purchasing any tyres /yes

Then get them from my tyres and sent direct to where you want them fitting or to your address and then take them to be fitted :D

Formula1 Auto centres fit them for £7.50 a tyre :scholar:

Nice find Bern /yes

I am going to chexk the 1's i just had fitted to the GDi

I know it's not 4wd and FWD cars do understeer a fair bit especially in the wet :inquisiti

But i was expecting them to perform better than they are ?

It may just be the huge difference between FWD and 4WD leggies, but i'll check anyway.

/thankyou

Both the 1's on the VR(German) and the 1's on the GDi(China) have an E13 mark on them ! The E is inside a circle followed by 13..

Is this the EU stamp of approval mark talked about :inquisiti

And if it is, does that mean they are the correct compound ??
