Hi all, i just had a reply back from a guy on fleabay who is breaking a 2.0l Galant. He wants £60 for it including the MAF.Two questions are:

1) Will the inlet, box and trunking fit to my VR4 saloon type V?
2) Is £60 a fair price?

Photo shows the unit in question.

i guess your VR4 is 2.5l; very likely can't use the MAF from him
there should be a code that needs to be a close match with yours,
otherwise not work for your car

everything up the maf is the same, not too sure if the maf is different - but as you say , you dont need it.... and the piping after the maf goes straight to the throttle body...

I take it your are reverting a cone filter back to standard?

60 squid seems a bit steep for the bits you need .... if it had a new filter then it might be worth it

I might have the airbox and intake ( with a used filter) available - I cant remember if I floggged them already or not, If so I would let them go for cheaper :pimp2:

Yep your right i have some knackered cone filter and from reading some threads about underbonnet heat warming the air i thought i`d go back to the original item.
If you do have one and want to sell please let me know.

i seem to remember the cold air feed into the airbox is smaller on the N/A cars , it will still work, but it will cause a restriction
If you want a proper VR4 one give mo (user name zedy1) a ring or send him a pm , but a call is the best way

Here`s an old photo of whats there now.As you can see i need the whole inlet, trunking and airbox. The filter thats showing is also damaged and has a hole in it,so no much good as a filter.
I`ve cleaned the engine bay up alot and its a bit more shiney in there now.
Photo to follow soon..when it stops raining in bloody wales !
