I rang up Pitstop Newmarket.

They quoted $350 front and $280 rear for Bendix Ultimate and machined disks. Is this reasonable ?

Richard has a prefacelift, so he isn't anywhere near Brembo's yet :)

In my opinion they do sound a little expensive, I assume you've shopped around and they are the best price so far?

why not do them your self? the rears wouldnt need skiming just scuff the rotors with sand paper and the fronts could be skimmed at like trade parts or abc! abc do flywheel skims for like $20 trade so cant imagine rotors would be too bad. could give you hand if you want

Thanks for the offer. I don't mind paying someone to do it.

Richard, you could take it to Dave (subaru eta) as long as you don't mind taking your car to a ford mechanic! He might try and remove your turbos and convert it to rwd :D

:scholar: True, but at least he knows how to put a legnum on a hoist...

Ford 1, Mitsi 0/Grrr

But yeah if you wanted to do them yourself, id be keen to help. We've got a pneumatic bleeder at work that runs off a normal compressor, makes changing pads easy as can be.

Also there is a mobile disc skimming company if you dont mind paying a little extra.

Hey dude,
My experience with Pitstop Newmarket was pretty bad.

Charged me $1500 'mate's rates' for 4 new znoelli rotors 18 months ago (I could've gotten them alot cheaper direct from znoelli), and at my last warrant I was told that my rotors are on the way out, which means the pads have outlasted them.
I know technically it's znoelli's fault, because the product is crap, but I was given bad advice and overcharged by Pitstop by a mate, so I ain't going back.

My two cents at least... :scholar:

Went to Sterling Clutch and Brakes in the end.

However, they discovered that both front and rear rotors were worn and warped and could not be machined anymore. This must of been the vibration I felt sometimes when I braked, which I mentioned in another thread..

All up I am looking at $917 for rotors and premium pads front and rear (I'll get the details later), with a 12 month/20,000km warranty.

Can't use them in Anger for about 600km to bed them. Is this normal ?
