How to open the headlights for angel eyes? The glass and the plastic housing are glued together.... I don't know what else to do. I'm really looking forward to fit in there some angel eyes

Perhaps this is another option to get into the headlight, rather than heating in an oven? Using a solvent to remove the glue: here (http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/trurl_pagecontent?lp=zt_en&trurl=http%3a%2f%2fwww.hkgalantclub.org%2f2006%2fv iewtopic.php%3ft%3d7694%26sid%3d05ee855999ca461e32 1e6466dccbe820)

Thank you all guys... Hey Johnny, I was looking at the link you posted, but I couldn't figure out if he really used any solvent (freaking japanese auto-translated page). I think it says that a Heat Gun was used for melting the glue. Well, it seems that I'm gonna have to find a Heat Gun if I wanna make me some Angel Eyes

andreslion:

I too would really like angel eyes in my car, but regardless of what people say I'm not going to attempt to put my headlights in an oven, they're too unavailable (other than from mit$ubi$hi) for me to risk it cracking the glass. Rereading that page I can't work out whether they use a solvent to dissolve or a heat gun, you might be right, but surely it's possible to use a solvent? Or does the headlamp plastic part need to be heated to become flexible?

Edited to say: they really do have some nice looking bits on that thread though. Also you could look at http://www.elantraxd.com/DIY/angeleyes.php for another way to make angel eyes

Mine are already cracked so I may just say sod it and stick them in the oven anyway. Have advertised for new ones but may take drastic action sooner as they are looking tatty.
