I wonder if any of the NZ boys have first hand experience of these?

It would be good to get a view on the quality.

Legnum only though is it not ?

It will fit on sedans, you'll just have to make the back suspension a little bit softer than default.

Have you seen the spring rates though?

16.1 kg/mm
Front

7.2 kg/mm
Rear

They look very harsh rates when you consider the standard springs and the fact that even the Tein Super Wagons are less than that.:inquisiti

yeah looks about right to me :)

In the fine print, they say that the spring rates are variable. Is there an option of lower spring rates? I might be interested if there is!

The fronts are going to be hard, the back soft.

I have some coilovers I am testing on the Legnum which have spring rates setup for a Galant (will be going on the Galant) and the spring rates are
12.0 front 8.0 rear.

At 16clicks (out of 32) the ride in fairly comfortable, but the back end is a bit soggy. Nothing too major, but the back can be felt to move more than the front, even as a passenger.

for racing 16kg may be fine, but I reckon it'll be harsh on the road. I reckon you want at least 9kg on the back for a Legnum, probably at least 12kg if you are going to have 16kg in the front.

Nick - good point, I wonder if that is possible - surely that is to do with the spring itself, and you would need to change to a different spring to change the rates?

Really? Wow. The Tein S-Tech springs I've got are rated at 1.5~2.7kg (progressive) at the back. Mind you they are the 'Soft' specification springs. The Super Wagons are about 5kg and the GT wagons 8kg all round. the GT being a track focused damper... I would not have thought that such a hard spring would be needed, on the basis that any cornering benefit would be outweighed by it tramlining all over the place!

But yeah, if the spring rate can be changed, then it looks like a good buy - you can tweak it to be as harsh or as soft as you like.

I am happy with 12/8. I think even Jo found it ok. With a little less damper in the front I may be able to even up the tendancy to squat a bit more in the back over bumps at reasonable speed

I am interested Glenn but unfortunately don't have the cash just at the moment what with the pending Ring trip and everything ... maybe in a couple of months ...

What sort of price are we looking at and how many people do you need to sign up ?

How much of a hurry are you in ?

If i can't sort out any import deducttions, then it's gonna be around the £600 mark..
If what i have suggested is accepted, it will be around £500..

I have another option ?? But i have to discuss it further yet ! if this option is taken then it could be £450 :pimp2:

I'm in no rush at all:afro:
It's dependant on who wants some and when and when you all have the funds.
Quantity is a minimum of 10 to get a decent price :scholar:
