Today I decided to treat my car to some new mats and seat covers. I've never put seat covers in a car before and am not sure if they look right or not!
They are black leather and the mats are black too.

What do you reckon, leather seats in a girls car nice or nasty?

Hell, my mum was trying to get me to buy furry ones for all seats! Eww!

I'm not totally sure. I reckon leather can look really nice, but then it also sticks you your bare legs on hot days. Fabric could be safer.

I have gone for grey fabric, but have you thought about black fabric?

Looks like I wasted 60 quid! They look like seats anyway Pete, not covers!
Anyway, you're too old to vote so I'm not listening to you lol! /pan

I have gone for Grey fabric i am afraid Chrissy.....

I find leather too hot in summer ( I don't like the sticky leg bit) and too cold in winter.

I prefer fabric myself as well, especially the Recaro's that came with Legnums over the leather seats that offer no support at all.

I did a full interior swap on my V6 (not VR4) for minus 200 quid in a day. Found a good one with v tidy full spec (beige leather, electric, heated) interior on ebay for 1400. Swapped out the cloth interior, carpets, headlining, dash, seats, seatbelts etc one Sunday, rebuilt the spare with cloth interior and sold it on a week later for 1600. Was good fun and covered my costs.

Leather all the way. However he VR-4 seats are just no comfortable so I will most likely end up with odd sports seats in the front as I can't find a black leather leggie interior and they don't easily do tan leather bucket seats.

Okay, I'll be in charge of that then dear! /pan /Grrr

Chrissy..... Moo-cow is good.... Covers can look okay if they're fitted well, but they can also look incredibly naff!

/Sighs.. Yeah I'm getting the idea they look a bit naff! It doesnt matter anyway, its not as if my Corsa is going on track or anyone will see it lol. It also looks cleaner with the covers and the mats, so I'm pleased. Its a bit of a girl racer car anyway with the spoiler and the big wheels and alloys, it came that way on sale! :inquisiti

The only thing I dread is ripping the skin from the backs of my legs in summer when i get out of the car!! :(:(:(

if i were you i would have just went and spent the money on a professional shampooing and cleaning of the interior... you would be suprised as to how much different it can look after it's actually CLEAN... and cloth seats all the way. breathable, cleanable, and don't get too hot or too cold... but if you were to stick with the covers it would be ok too because that prevents any further dirt on the actual seat material

I must admit, I am very partial to the suede recaros in the Legnum. Very nice to sit on :)
