My rear wheel bearing is gone, iv noticed movement from one side for some time now, and this weekend I confirmed its the wheel bearing. Iv had a search on here but I didnt pick up anyone changing it on a facelift v6. I tried to remove bearings from the hub but like a lot of people here i confirm thats a mission and it would be soo much easier to replace the hub (matter of 4 bolts). I had a look at camskill but they only do the whole hub for the vr4! Anyone know where else I can get it from? (il call my main dealer tomorrow to find out from them, but surely im looking to get F***ed!)

Seems to me that the bearings go much quicker when the car is lowered?

I cant really confirm that because I noticed movement from my rear offside last year, well before I lowered the car but I didnt know it was the bearing untill this weekend. I thought the movement might of been a case of tracking and wheel alignment..

Sorry to hear about yer motor dude, I remember you mentioning about that the other week. The hubs/bearing assemblies can be a pain to disassemble
There is no substitute to brute force, lever bars and mallets. If you have no joy let me know and can take car to a couple of mitsu pals who have their own workshop, not far from A1 or Viks.

Nice one geeza :2thumbsup. I was changing my rear brakes this weekend I thought il try myself. If its too much effort to try remove the bearings, il just hook up a whole hub then il just replace it, but if the main dealer is the only place I can get a the whole hub from then I might give it another try. Im away on thursday for a few days to budapest for a mates stag, so I wont get a chance to have a look at it until the week after. il let know know how it goes mate, thanks.

Looks very similar to the front, except no driveshafts to bugger about with! Much of a job to get it out?

Very easy taking them off, a matter of 4 bolts once the discs are off.
