I like my fujibutsi exhaust. so much so , that I'm considering another on the off side !! :-D dont think I'll get any improvement in performance, but I think it will look and sound twice as good. where the straight through 3" pipe ends. fit a "Y" piece, & divert it both ways ?? good or bad idea ?? :undecided

Im off to ascar in sheffield as soon as mine is back on the road, but Ive opted for two TVR exhausts. Think they will look sweet on my FTO.

Nice.......dribble! I like mine, I guess thats why I bought them!

Strikes me I could set up a shop and make a packet making custom exhausts!

Do it then, if youve got all the kit for it. I would have one.

The only thing I am really lacking is the tube bender.......the pricy bit! I think a lot of companies out there are willing to do the job for you but are not very sympathetic to the 'specialist' market. They will do Novas, Corsas, Imprezzas all day long but take them something odd or ask them to do something a bit different and they shy away or give you sill prices!

To be fair most places charge a scandalous amount of money. I bought 6m of stainless tube for £60 which was more than enough to do my full system, add 2 silencers at £75 each and £30 worth of custom made flanges and for £250 you have a full system........see what ascar want to charge you.............. ;)

i had a nice pair of 3 1/2 exit's that my mate put together with all the parts comming from custom chrome INSERT INTO post VALUES (the guys who make cherry bomb's) but thank's to some scum bag they got stole when my car was parked up when i was on holiday.now ive got duel exits and they only cost me about £35.00 =keep your standard back box cut between the box and the last join add a stainless Y peice fit your back box back on and add stainless flexy pipe to the other exit on the Y peice hide this underneath with hanger's and feed it out the other side then get yourself a pair of nice lookin tail's .
this work's well and is not any louder than standard.only thing is your warranty is void INSERT INTO post VALUES (if you have one)on the back box .
i will post some pics soon of my car can anyone tell me which forum i should put them on..

just got a qoute to modify my exhaust to a twin ! :wow: :furious3: :stars: :wtf: remove cat & fit new de-cat pipe. where 3" pipe ends, cut & fabricate "Y" piece [ reducing to 2.5". mandrel bend new pipes to either side, & fit 2 matching stainless silencers. [ silencers to be decided upon, depending on getting the right noise ! & the amount of room on the drivers side] cutting & reshaping bumper, fog light relocation etc. fitting 2 x twin exit chrome tail pipes.

sure am Pete !! was gonna call in ascar. but Ashley, the store guy at city electrical said try his mate. :| " he knows all about your car, cus I've told him and he's expecting you " I knew nothing about this ?? so I called in to Hawleys tyres & exhausts on Holme lane, Hillsborough, & spoke to Kev. spent around an hour with him, & went through all the options.
booked it in for Jan 2nd, & it'll be done in the day. [ hopefully ] I may have to be there most of the time, to decide which exhaust note I prefere ???? they have around 6 different silencers which will fit. I dont know really why he has "quoted me happy" but apparently Ashley told him to look after me ??? price quoted is £260 all in, but if he has a problem with the drivers side, it may be a bit more, but certainly under £300 inc Vat. !
If anyone else is thinking about one, he will do it, but the price may be a little higher, not my words, but his.

getting my 4 tail pipe, twin exhaust system fitted in the morning !! :-D :-D And It's Ascar that are doing it ??? powerflow said they did not know wether 2.5" pipe was big enough to handle the power, If I went more than 300/350 bhp ? & that they did not do 3" pipe.
He suggested calling in Ascar to ask them if 2.5 inch would suffice. their reply was, " 2.5" will handle up to 500 bhp, & 3" up to 1000 bhp" ???? anyhow, got the car up on the ramps & told them exactly what I wanted, told them a few porkies about the price powerflow were going to charge, & finally settled on a price of £325.00. :-D not bad eh?? roll on tomorrow . :hurrah:

As requested, A few pics of my new exhaust.
pic 1; my shiny new cat installed.
pic 2; the 1st piece of 3" pipe cut & formed.
pic 3; the 'T' piece formed & welded, ready to be cut to size.
then it all went pear shaped !! the lady who owns the place arrived, & said " you cant stop in here, you cant smoke in here, & you cant take any pictures" !!
pic 4; the finished article, barring fitting some aluminium plate to cover the gap above the pipes. single 3" outlet only I'm afraid !! but, what the heck!!

does it sound good ?? you bet it F****ng does !!! :-D :-D

You can't upload a file size that big directly to this website through the attach pictures feature.
You'll need to upload it to another website and have a link to it from here.

Just got a new exhaust fitted today.

Powerflow, 2.5" full stainless with straight through mirror finish 3" back box with 4.5" slash cut tail pipe.

Looks good, but the sound's a little bit 'sporty' for the wife, so this may be for sale soon as I may import one from Japan to replace it.

Got a decat pipe made at the same time, but didn't fit it as I had to take the car straight in for MOT INSERT INTO post VALUES (that's why it needed an exhaust - the mild steel piping on the fujitsubo was on its way out INSERT INTO post VALUES (well - hanging by a piece of rust is more like it).

So, just out of interest, would anybody be interested in a stainless exhaust to go with their de-cat pipe?

I paid £350 today and will accept £275. If there is any interest, then I'll order an exhaust from Japan and mine will be available when it arrives.

The de-cat is not included in the price. I paid another £45 for a decat pipe.

Cheers,

Calum
