I need your help please guys. I have got two sets of wheels for the VR-4 and we have decided to sell one set. But we really cannot decide which ones we prefer. So it's time for a poll. Which wheels do YOU think look best on the car.

Both sets at 17".

Option 1: Oz Superleggera 17 x 7 (first two photos). These were the ones fitted to the car at Japfest on Saturday.

Option 2: EVO VI wheels (also Oz Racing) 17 x 7.5 (second two photos). These are recently refurbished and are like new.

if i had to choose, it would be first (which i voted) primarily cos there are less spokes to clean.

I like them both, the 1st set go with the simple clean look of the car, the second set make the car look a bit sharper as they are so much busier to look at.
Hope that helps mate.

Wot he said. Then maybe get the calipres to stand out a bit more, it'd look really purposeful.

What about...the wedsport TC-005's on pistonheads? Then your car will have at least one thing in common with the ultimate VR-4 - mine :)

Nope. It's not you. The rear quarter panels are a totally different colour. /pan

They actually don't look too bad in the flesh but they do really stand out in those photos don't they ... :inquisiti

It's getting sorted before the end of the year ... /yes

Evo 6 wheels for me ... luvvemm

One thing I have realised is not coming across in these photos is the stance of the car on the EVO VI wheels.

The Superlegs are 7" wide wheels with an ET45 offset.

The EVO VI wheels are 7.5" wide with an ET38 offset.

Which means the EVO VI wheels sit out much further on the car than the Superlegs, giving the car a "fatter" look ... which I like ...

The only problem is I am not sure whether the arches would rub if I kept the EVO VI wheels as they do sit slightly prude of the front arches ...

you've seen how low my car is, and ive got them 235/45/17's now - as a test the other night, i went round this ever increasing left hand corner - doing about 40 into it and 90 out of it.. no rubbage....

although, im not sure what would happen if i chucked it round a corner, or a roundabout yet....

Hmm more of a pain to clean but look much better IMO.

What tyres are on the Evo 6 wheels? with 225s It shouldn't catch with sorted suspension. But then that depends how low you wanted to go I guess. If you were thinking B12 low like yer bruvva then maybe yup they wud catch.

Also if planning to go down the brembo brake route, will the calipers fit behind the Superlegz?? :inquisiti

They will with 5mm spacers.....that's what I had for my KADs

Both wheels are fitted with 225/45/17s.

I don't want to go as low as Pete. In fact, I am planning to go for fully adjustable suspension so that I can raise it a touch for town driving and then slam it for track days ... :scholar:

I know that Brembos will fit under the EVO VI wheels. As Pete says the Superlegs may fit with spacers but I would rather avoid spacers tbh. That said, Brembos are sooo far down the list they may never happen anyway ... plus the EBCs held up well on track ... :scholar:

Normally I'd say the more spokes the better, but in the case I prefer the look of the first set.

Neither look bad though mate :)

Hi Wayne I may be intrested in the evo VI if you sell them.

I voted supers before reading this thread. There is not a lot of difference between them from the side, to be honest, but the exra width of the stance would probably make me change my vote.

Here are a few more shots that I took from different angles to try and show what I mean about the wider stance of the EVO VI wheels ...

I am still undecided ... the vote is with the Superlegs at the moment though ...

I'd go for the 2nd set just cos they're wider, keeping 'em clean aint too hard if you polish them, the muck just rinses off.

id go for the evo wheels just coz there wider and they fit brembos,

but i like the look of the first wheels best.
