Anyone keen for longer 1st and 2nd manual gearset with stock 5th?

Kenneth has decided he doesn't want it because it won't give him a longer 5th gear. Does anyone else want this set of gears? It has a lot longer 1st and a bit longer 2nd

Its worth pointing out these are in very good condition with probably only a few hundred km's on them. Ralliart want $200 for them.

What bennifit does this gear set have, besides a long first and second?

There is no difference at all between the stock gearset and this one, the only benefit is that first and second aren't so short, and you can hit 100kmh in 2nd. Probably going to be good for people drag racing and trying to set the best 100kmh times.

At 6000rpm, the stock setup will take you to 52.5kmh and 83.1kmh, this set will be 62.8 and 89.7, so first is quite a bit higher.

Was thinking if you are still keen on the gearbox swap idea, I would be willing to use this gear set in lieu of the one currently in the Galant.

I recall our original agreement being along the lines of test in the Galant and then gearbox swap if you were keen from there.

My preference for procedure is to pull out your gearbox and get the gear set swapped onto your VR-4 gearbox shaft and then I can bring the Galant over to your place and swap gearboxes.
