Hi fellas thought I best join up as I have just bought a 96 Sports GT and would like to know #a little bit about it, specs etc and if it is safe to up the boost a little and anything else I may need to know about these beasts, it has a mad bull bar that I have looked removing but it will leave ucly holes so that has to stay for now, any advice on the car and what the buttons do? would be great, I can't read Japanese/pan

Hi Gaz,
Welcome to the forum - I don't think there are many 7g owners posting but there are loads of helpful well informed people who'll help and advise when they can.
Me? I know nothing!
Enjoy.
BTW Car looks like a good example.

Cheers fellas, it is in very good nick for it's age and I got a good deal traded in my Stunning Proton Evolution Coupe, ( Lancer Coupe with a 4G93 and a Proton badge) and not to much money, way less than the £3.5 he had in the back window:thinking: , it has a problem with vibration at higher speeds but I think one of the wheels are buckled our it could be the perished **** jap tyres or the fact that one of the rims has no weights on it, only had it for a few hours got it home and cleaned it and gave the engine bay a wash:inquisiti tryed to get the bull bar off but there are holes cut in the bumper so will have to sort what I am going to do about that one:speechles anyway it runs a treat and is clean though there are a few bits inside that need attention, more later on these subjects:thinking: anyhone got any bigger rims? I take it they are 4x114 and do you know offset and width of rims ?
And last one for now, would Evo 5/6 legs hubs and brakes just bolt on ?
Pic of the Proton/rally :speechles
It is my 3rd one of these in a year/pan

That's very kind of you I will keep you in mind/thankyou
Going to have a look at some 17s at the weekend and have ordered a strut brace for the front and a set of dials so I can keep an eye on things from inside the car, once I get that all fitted and the vibration sorted then I will be looking at fitting a Dawes device or the like so I can turn the boost up a bit/Devil5
