What tyre pressure do you think would be best for 225/40Z/R18 tyres? Cheers!

hey bro, i have em on my leggie... depends on the manufacturer of the tyre i think. ive got mine set to: (According to the sticker from Tonys Tyres)

34PSI Front Tyres
30PSI Back Tyres

Feels good too, was supposed to get mine re-balanced and aligned this week, but was busy... next week though definately!

I used to have 38psi on mine when i had 18's... I run 36/32 (front/rear) on my factory wheels atm.

Manufacturer's recommended pressures don't change regardless of the tyres you put on your car, so 32/29psi (2.3/2.1 bar) is fine. Anything different is down to personal preference.

I run 36 front and 34 rear and find it to be a good setup. For most people I'd say 32-38psi would be a good overall option.

If i ran 32/29 i would be changing my tyres every 2 months, as i would not have any edges on them !(That is if they actually stayed on the Rims) In the Summer i Run 37/35.. In the Winter 35/33.. On track upto as much as 39/36. This is not through personal preference ! It is through a plain and simple wish to stay alive as long as possible.
It is true that all tyre size and make will be different and also it depends on how you drive /yes

I have me a 2nd hand 99 GALANT! My tyres is a Bridgestone TURANZA 60R15. When I bought it the seller told me to set it at 32 PSI? But when I read the manual i computed In PSI =31.9 or 32 (Bar =2.2; KPa =220) on the Front and PSI =28.9 or 29 (Bar =2; KPa =200) on the Rear. Ain't that too low?? I'm still runnin' em on 32 PSI. So far I have no problems.

Ditto! ..for day to day driving, I don't think pressure's that crucial unless you hoon around alot (and we don't do that, do we?! :uhoh2:) ..In saying that, there is definately a noticable difference in traction/steering response if you do over/under inflat your tyres.
Maybe try different setups and see which suits your driving style. :)
Fronts: 34-36psi
Rears: 32-34psi

32PSI will be fine, my personal preference is 34PSI all round

I would suggest 34 in front and 28-29 at the back... smooth ride.. 35-36 is pretty hard.. not good on your shocks...

35 To 38 Front
30 To 33 Rear

But you know what...the Tire Pressure on the door indicates 26-35 PSI for 195/60R15?? Does that mean minimum of 26 and maximum of 35PSI?? Or 26 in front and 35 on rear wheels?? (I think the previous is much more logical though). Always higher on the front bec. of the engine...right??

Front alwais higher. Cars have engine in the front.
