any 17x7 or 17x8 wheel will fit in the 35-40mm offset range. The evo wheels are 17x8 and 38mm offset, they are very popular. The PCD is 5x114.3

you sure you only want 205s fitted? not say 215s or 225s?

205's are like bicycle wheels on a VR-4 :P

235 / 45 / 17 is the standard on evos, I have this size on evo wheels, with 38mm offset, with no problems

Don't go for 205/40/17's they will look daft. You need at the very least 215/45/17's and even these will look too small and throw your speedo out. As already mentioned, the ideal size is 235/45/17. or 225/50/17's will do. Try and find a 8j rim with a 40 offset, looks really nice and still leaves room for plenty of lowering later. Other cars with similar wheels inlude the Evo's, r33 skylines( not gtr), 200sx s14a, rx8, lexus is200 and the list goes on.

actually 225/45 is the closest you can get to the stock rolling radius if you're keeping with 215-235mm wide tyres. 235/45 is about 1.9% too big, but it doesn't really matter much.
