Got myself some cheap gauges to liven up the inside a bit, hope to get them fitted over the weekend:afro: does anyone know what oil filter I need I take it that an FTO V6 will be the best one to look for at Halfords ?

Nice looking gauges.:afro:

As for the filter, if you can't find a listing for an FTO, the standard Galant 2.5 V6 one will fit, I'd imagine, I think they all use the same size and thread (M20 x 1.5).

Little tip.... Halfrauds are not too good with imports - If you've a local motor factor, go there, as chances are they'll be able to get hold of ADL blueprint stuff.... Which means you'll have a MUCH better chance of getting the right bit.:scholar:

I am installing a sandwich plate which goes between the block and filter and has threaded holes to attatch the senders that come with the gauges:scholar:

I have not put it on the car yet as I am waiting to get some oil at the pod but the filter fits the threads so no reason not :afro:

Moved the gauges to behind the dash now but still needs a bit of tweaking to the dash to fit flush

Also got a cheap set of 17s but the couriers have lost a nut and they are hollow round ones with a 12mm hex fitting to remove , which I haven't got/pan

Well he turned up but not till later on so task for today is do the oil and fit the wheels, but I bought a lancer GSR1800 last night so the Galant is for sale if anyone is interested, not in a rush as the GSR needs a bit of TLC so will keep using the Galant for now, but I will have to try and stop spending any more money on it, LOL

Yep it fits, did my oil change tonight and fitted the plate, loads of room for the sensors and well away from major heat sources , didn't wire up the gauges as it started to pour down as soon as I undid the drain plug so had to continue in the rain on my back on the drive and filter was a tw@t to get off, had to use the old screwdriver and hammer method, ended up absolutely sodden with grit and oil and water everywhere, so left all the plastic covers off got showered and went to the pub for beer and food instead, got to sort it in the morning though as I am off to Kidderminster to collect the Lancer:happy:
