If I new how to put a poll up on this thread I would. but I can't. My son has offered , along with his work coleages, [ at Va****ll main bodyshop in Sheffield ] to fit this air intake to my legnum. A lot of you might think it's naff, but temptation is getting the better of me !! I know I can trust them to do the job right, because one of his mates cars will be featured in next months max power mag !! [ wanna see a sneak preview ?? I've got some pics I took myself !! ]

the vents do help cooling but you do get water coming in engine bay

I like that bonnet :D
Not too keen on the bonnet pins to be honest
My bonnet has some bad chips and a nasty little dent when a stone hit it at 120mph :INSERT INTO post VALUES (

I would think some water would get into engine bay same as the EVO's you could always try and mod it slighty to stop water getting in

Some of the guys at the TGC have done this and as far as I know, as long as you havent got a OEM air intake its fine

I am not keen.......it really ruins the sleeper look, unless of course you go the whole hog like Mo has!

If you are determined to get a bonnet scoop, hunt around for something original........something that has not been done before!

How about

the decision is made !! 2 small, discreet air intakes, either side near the front of the bonnet. [ similar to the above pic, but without the huge bonnet scoop ] both of them will be functionable as well . the price of around £150, will include the vents, cutting the bonnet & fitting, painting, & all the ducting in the engine bay to provide the cold air feed. just got to choose the vents now !! :-D

Yes, I concur; However, I do prefer the sleeper look.

Will the extra cooling add to the performance much ?

So the hot air in the intake really is an issue.......tell that to the HKS boys!

yes, It really made a difference ! just sealed the small gap & off she went. I presume, as the hot air rises from the gearbox/engine, & meets the cold air from the intake, It's acting like a vortex. & forcing the hot air in ???
