2.5 v6 badging.

can someone tell me the correct badging for the bootlid on a 2001 2.5 v6 (first facelift) galant?. the previous owner removed the badges and the only one on it now is a 24v badge on the right hand side. Im lead to believe that this is wrong anyway!.

want to put it back as standard.

Almost certainly V6-24
It is 24 valve, so the modified badging is not incorrect.

one side says Mitsubishi , and on the other side it says V6-24

a 2001 face lift would have a red Mitsubishi logo above galant on in the center of the boot lid the words galant are fixed to the boot lift next to the keyhole

Yep, you should have a red 3 diamonds with siver edges in the middle of the boot, and v6-24 on the right hand side

Yep, Adrian and Tony are spot on. The 'Mitsubishi' word was dropped after the 1999 1st facelift.:scholar:

the 24v is definately wrong, you should have a V6-24 there, but I think it would look quite good without a badge at all, just the 3 diamonds and Galant would be fine.
