I've just bought a 98 v6 24 uk spec.

I know everybody thinks that big american and jap kits are cool, but I wanted to go back to the old skool, when I were a lad cool people used to have crome or gold strips on there arches, and the snarling arches of my galant are so loking to be gold tipped, does any one know where I can get some, last year I saw some im dubai for a toyta mark2, INSERT INTO post VALUES (whatever that is).

Hi,

I know mitsubishi used to have some chrome trims in the accesories catalogue, like door edging and that.

By the way :welcome:

Welcome to the club!

Surely this club welcomes all, even if your tastes are the tiniest bit questionable!!

He's probably searching for part numbers,

Set of 4, Chrome door edge moldings: MZ536130

Didn't find numbers for anything else?

Ha, Hahaha, hahahahahaha

Today the accessories catalogue, tomorrow the world.... :p

The design of the arches don't lend themselves to chrome [arch]extensions, and I don't think Mitsubishi list them. There's certainly nothing in the current parts catalogue...

And you lot with you Vr-4s, leave off!:nono: I think a modern-style Galant with some retro touches would be a refreshing and interesting change to you lot with your HKS this, Fujiboso that and Defi t'other!!!

How about coating the plastic arches from the facelift VR4? Still don't like the idea, though..... Maybe the finished article will convince me otherwise?

sounds like a plan.
does any one have any pics of the arch extensions on a facelift model?

actually the guy in mitz reading said the were part of the wing and not mouldings.

I think I have read in another thread that they are rivetted on.... I have them on mine, but it is dark outside, so not the best photo opportunity!

Just saw the photo shoot of the facelift model. I don't really like the wheel arch extensions. The clean lines of the "Original" is my preferred.

Sorry Dave, but I'm with KiwiTT on this one... I think the wheelarch extensions go slightly against the character of the Galant... But as is often said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

/Looks adoringly out of window at a frost covered GLS...

I think the shine should go all the way to the wheel arch lips. Got to keep it clean.

The wheel arch extensions just make it look ... well .... Lifestyle 4x4 INSERT INTO post VALUES (i.e. Subaru, Volvo, Audi )

A picture of mine and BDA's with the arches, and Interlecs without.
