Dude, really sorry to hear that. Its a gutter when you put all the time effort and money into it and you get this happen.

Is anything salvagable from the block? Pistons, rods etc?

Cheers,

Ben.

Hopfully pick up is know sorted.
Will be pulling engine out in the next day or so.
Looks like it is going to need 3 pistons, set of rings, head gasketsand all the other bits to get it up and runing.
Have had a good think on what as happened and the are a number of resons
1.denso plugs which were fitted by thor racing!!!!!!!!
2.afr being measured in pipe after both turbos, will be remaping it with lamba in both downpipes in case front bank is running lean
3.Car not been trated very well at bodyshop!!! reving engine hard when cold.
Will know more in a cuple of days.
Speak to you all soon
kevin
ps
a big thankyou to
richy rich for sorting me out with a block

Glad to hear youre making progress mate, but still gutting :(

As we've discussed in the past Kev, many Skyline owners have experienced the exact same issues and results with Denso, and re-branded Denso (ie HKS) spark plugs, all be it not 3 fold. So sorry youve experienced it too, especially as i doubt you would have used Denso plugs at all had you fitted them yourself :(

Perhaps its a combination of the Denso plugs, with one of the factors youve listed above, as having one plug break down in such a manner is unacceptable, but 3......thats really unlucky :(

Stick with it mate and hopefully catch up next week /Wyhy

Just a thought wouldn't 2 EGT sensors be cheaper and give the same results. Thats what I will be running on mine.
