getting my boost gauge fitted over christmas, & just considering where to put it !! obvious place would be on top of the dash, but I'd like to keep it more descreet. what do you think? down here? cut into the dash? :undecided

Makes sense to me mate - or remove ashtray and feed cables in through there like I did with my Apexi RSM ?

The flap below switches 2 & 3 is where you want to install your e-boost. Fits very nicely. Just 4 holes to make 2 for the mounting screws, 1 for the wiring loom & 1 for the hose. Don't forget to allow some slack with the hose & the wiring so that you can get to the fuses if need be. Flap shuts flush, visibilty when driving is surprisingly good. A bit tricky to make adjustments, you need to pull flap out INSERT INTO post VALUES (another reason to allow slack with wiring & hose). Boost settings of 45, sensitivity of 9 & 5.5 gate pressure are good starting points. When it's very cold you will get fuel cut out but switching to SP2 default settings INSERT INTO post VALUES (1 press of up arrow) till weather warms is all that is needed.
Good Luck!!!

wadda ya mean ?? I resemble that remark !! :evil1: :smoking: must admit though, I've really gotta stop! I'm approaching 40 a day. :uhoh: :$
without hijacking my own thread, A mate of mine was forced , by his better half, to go to a hypnotist, to stop smoking. he didn't smoke much during the day, [ plumber ] but in the evenings he chain smoked. he was dragged there kicking & screaming, & totally sceptical by the whole thing. 30 mins later, he came out, & has not touched a fag since. thats nearly 2 years ago !! he still wants a cigarette, but "there is something stopping me having one" eerie ??

Yeah - this can work if you approach it with an open mind.
My parents packed in about 10 years ago, without ANY help - which was brave, but meant they were pretty irritable for quite a while!!! :argue:

40 fags a day... just think of the money you could spend on your VR-4 instead! You could get that interior cleaned for a start!!! :p

What do u find the sensitivity does to the boost? My setings are 47, 10 and 8.0.

I found that reducing the sensitivity kept boost in a tight range throughout the revs. With default of 10, boost would drop off at high revs. I'm surprised that you're able to set a gate pressure of 8. The initial pull on WOT must be addictive. Tonight I might try your settings. My mods are very similar to yours so reducing sensitivity might allow me to increase the gate pressure. I must admit that in a previous thread INSERT INTO post VALUES ("what mod shall i get next ?") I was sceptical about setting up a boost controller myself. Probably from reading about the problems people were having with setting up the
AVC-R INSERT INTO post VALUES (BDA excluded); but the E-boost is really quite simple. You can get a huge difference in performance within half an hour and if you go too far the ECU lets you know by cutting the fuel.
