6g Galant Turbo

Over the years, our family has owned and driven more than 25 different Mitsi's. In the late '80s, my Dad bought a used 6g Galant 2.0 Petrol Turbo which we kept for about three years. I never saw another one. Does anybody know how many of these were imported? I assume they must have been pretty rare.

Was it badged VR4? There are a few around, but not many. The 6g VR4 seems to be the galant of choice in the USA.

I'm afraid I can't answer your question though!

It was only badged as a Galant Turbo and was front wheel drive. No prop shaft in sight!

I'm quite the 6G fan (currently own and drive 2, my 3rd 6G has gone to the scrap heap a few months back), next to my 8G (left hand drive with V6 VR4 converted engine), but I've never heard of any other turbo 6G model, except for the 6G VR4, which was produced limited.

Although I do know there will be one driving here soon :) My black 6G will get a 4G63T engine swap at the end of the summer. Turbo time!
