Any of you girls know of any uk sound forums where I could sell off a whole lot of pro sound equipment? My wife used to do caberet shows, so has a fair amount of stuff to sell - eg

300W bass bins
Stage Monitors
Carlsbro DX8 2XP 2x300W 8 channel powered mixer
Umpteen cables
Radio mikes
mike stands
150W 4 channel Marshall Combo amp
Smoke machine
Super animator light controller with lightboxes
etc

Uploading all the pics to photobucket now: http://s88.photobucket.com/albums/k193/bernmc/fleabay/

FLeabay doesn't seem to get very good prices for this stuff - -possibly because posting is a problem as its all so heavy...

Or know of any groups/DJ's that might be interested?

For a small(ish) fee, I can arrange a free sample....

You'll need a modest £500 for a bottle o champers to get things started...

Surely £50 and a crate of Special Brew would be just as effective? :deal2:

I used to work for Leicester Sound & Lighting (http://www.lslav.co.uk/) Bern, they happily bought good condition used kit such as yours, might be useful as a last resort.

Unfortunately ebay is the best to get rid of music gear now... If it's all in good condition and has any manuals and stuff to show its been looked after, and usual ebay tips like good pictures/descsription/realistic price you'll get decent money.. I buy and sell music stuff on there all the time..
Music/disco shop will give you bu66er all (half of what they'll sell it for maybe)

All I know about the bass bins are that they're Ghost Demon 300W bins.

AFIK the monitors were made by the same bunch, but they have no scribbling on them. 12inch woofer and a horn each. Had a look at one of the woofers, but the bunch that made them removed all the labeling from that too. Swines!

All the pics (3 pages worth) are now on photobucket (link in my first post), ready for fleabay.

All the sound stuff was built to match the Carlsbro 2x300W mixer.

Had some bose speakers too, but they've already gone to a local DJ.
