Power Steering Buggered

my power steering stuffed out yesterday, it was hard to turn at low revs but under throttle its fine, then this morning it was all fine for about half an hour, and now it doesnt seem to turn at all if theres no throttle

does anyone know what the problem is?

Loose belt? But prob not....

isnt there a sensor that when steering wheel is turned it tells the ecu to up the revs to assist the steering maybe its knackered.
